Chris Wright

Chris serves as Executive Vice President and has over 25 years of experience in national defense support. He has held various positions, ranging from software engineering to project and program management, culminating in leadership roles. In his role prior to joining Cahaba, he served as Senior Vice President and Group Manager at Radiance Technologies for the Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Group, where he was responsible for the profit and loss, operations, and growth of his business unit. His Group’s primary focus was supporting all aspects of high energy laser design, development, integration, prototyping, modeling and simulation, manufacturing industrial base support, and laser lethality. 

He has a decade of experience in the high energy laser sector, notably leading a major Army mobile laser demonstration project, the High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck (HELMTT). During his time as Program Manager, he spearheaded the integration of the laser system and its subsystems. He also led the team that was integral in the design and support of various directed energy technologies, including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Counter Unmanned Aerial System tracker development and multiple modeling and simulation tools which are used daily by the Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office and the Space and Missile Defense Command, both located at Redstone Arsenal. Prior to joining Radiance, Chris worked at SPARTA, Inc. (now Parsons).

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Auburn University. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, boating, snow skiing, disc golf, and time spent with friends and loved ones.
